I’ve so enjoyed knitting the California Road Trips beanies by Nancy Bates, that I decided to create a hometown beanie pattern featuring the iconic Moonstone Beach boardwalk.
The design uses stranded colorwork, slip stitches to give the appearance of boardwalk slats, and either French knots or duplicate stitch to add splashes of wildflowers.
I’ve created kits with yarns available in the shop, but feel to experiment with yarns and colors from your stash. I recommend worsted weight yarn.
